Israeli Army: We Arrested a Cell Linked to the Quds Force in Southern Syria (Video)

SadaNews - The Israeli occupation army announced today, Monday, the arrest of a cell affiliated with the Iranian Quds Force in southern Syria during a special nighttime operation carried out by its forces.

According to a statement issued by the Israeli army spokesperson, the army forces conducted a special nighttime operation in southern Syria based on precise information from investigations by Unit 504, during which they were able to apprehend a cell affiliated with the Iranian Quds Force in the area of Tal Qudsna.

The military spokesperson stated that this operation was carried out by the forces of the Alexandroni Brigade (3) of the 210th Division, in cooperation with field investigators.

This marks the second operation within the past week conducted by the 210th Division as part of its efforts to prevent the establishment and expansion of any armed presence in southern Syria that may threaten Israel's security, according to Israeli claims.

The army spokesperson said in the statement that Israeli forces continue to deploy in the area to secure the borders and protect Israeli residents from any potential attacks or attempts to smuggle weapons.

This military activity, according to Israeli media, is part of a series of Israeli operations targeting sites and groups affiliated with the Iranian Quds Force and its allies in Syria, especially in the south near the Israeli border, where Israel aims to prevent the infiltration of armed elements or the establishment of military bases that may be used to target it.

The Syrian government considers these operations a violation of its sovereignty and a blatant infringement on its territory, while Tehran and Tel Aviv accuse each other of escalating the conflict on the northern front amid rising regional tensions and multiple fronts of confrontation.
