Fatah: Israeli Minister of Industry's Statements on Dismantling the National Authority are a Call for Genocide
SadaNews - Jamal Nazzal, spokesman for the Palestinian National Liberation Movement "Fatah" and member of the Palestinian National Council, stated that the recent remarks made by the Israeli Minister of Economy and Industry, in which he openly called for the dismantling of the Palestinian National Authority, constitute a blatant call for genocide and reflect colonial policies aimed at erasing the Palestinian national identity and obliterating our political and human existence from the land.
He added in a press statement issued by Fatah that these remarks cannot be viewed in isolation from the broader context of the ongoing Israeli aggression against our people, including starvation, destruction of infrastructure, financial siege, settlement expansion, and military aggression against the Gaza Strip, which collectively creates a legal framework that applies to the definition of genocide according to the United Nations Convention of 1948, which includes "subjecting a national or ethnic group to living conditions intended to destroy it, in whole or in part."
Nazzal continued: "Dismantling the Palestinian National Authority does not only mean striking at the administrative and organizational structure of Palestinian life, but also leaving our people without any political or civil protection, and opening the door wide to chaos, poverty, and systematic violence. This, in itself, constitutes a form of deliberate destruction that constitutes an international crime for which the perpetrators must be held accountable."
He emphasized that Fatah views these statements as incitement to commit a collective crime against the Palestinian people, which must be met with an immediate response from the international community and its institutions, especially the Security Council, the International Criminal Court, and the European Union, to stop this dangerous lawlessness and treat it as a direct threat to international peace and security.
Nazzal concluded: "We will not concede our right to existence and self-determination, and we will not allow the occupation to achieve its goals through political and economic terrorism. We will continue our struggle, we will steadfastly remain on our land, and we will bring down this project as we have done with all previous attempts at liquidation."
