The Minister of Local Government Delivers a Decision to Upgrade the Classification of Sarda Abu Qash Municipality to "B" Municipality

SadaNews - Minister of Local Government Sami Hijawi delivered the ministry's decision to upgrade the classification of Sarda Abu Qash Municipality from "C" to "B" to the mayor, Mohammed Musa Ramadan, based on public interest and after meeting all necessary conditions.

This took place during the minister's field visit to the municipality on Tuesday, leading a delegation from the ministry that included Assistant Undersecretary for Local Authorities Affairs Khaled Ishtiyeh, as well as several general directors and managers from the ministry and the directorate, in the presence of members of the municipal council, its employees, local dignitaries, and representatives from community organizations and institutions.

Hijawi congratulated the municipal council and the residents on this decision, praising the efforts made to develop the region and improve the quality of services provided in various vital fields.

He emphasized that this decision is not just an administrative procedure but rather a significant step forward, serving as an additional starting point for the municipal council towards creativity, innovation, and thinking about creative and pioneering initiatives that contribute to enhancing the municipality, empowering it, and increasing its financial revenues. This demands more collaborative efforts and effective integrated work among all components of the local community and the municipal council, along with more constructive community participation, given the significant challenges and the large responsibilities borne by the municipality.

For his part, the mayor expressed his gratitude to the ministry for its continuous support to the municipality, commending the decision which will serve as a motivation for development and building upon the achievements made, which the citizens have positively felt in reality.
