Partnership to Address Challenges .. Jerusalem Governorate Water Department and the Village Councils in Jifna, Ain Sinia, and Dora Al-Qari Unite Efforts to Enhance Water Supply Sustainability
Sada News Economy - As part of its ongoing efforts to enhance the sustainability of water supply and mitigate the impacts of the water crisis during the summer season, the General Director of the Jerusalem Governorate Water Department, Engineer Thaer Jloud, conducted a field tour that included the villages of Jifna, Ain Sinia, and Dora Al-Qari, to closely observe the water situation in these areas, address the major challenges facing residents, and explore ways to enhance cooperation with local entities.
The department’s delegation included, alongside Engineer Jloud, the Director of the Engineering Department, Engineer Emil Abda, the Director of Water Resources, Engineer Mohammed Abu Ayash, and the Director of Media and Public Relations, Fares Al-Malaki.
The delegation held a meeting with the head of the Jifna Village Council, Engineer George Odeh, in the presence of several council members, where they reviewed the water supply situation in the village and listened to the main challenges facing the subscribers, along with discussing possible interventions and measures to mitigate the water crisis during the summer, contributing to improving the level of service provided to residents.
The delegation also met with the head of the Ain Sinia Village Council, Emad Khater, in the presence of several council members, where they assessed the water situation in the village and discussed mechanisms to enhance cooperation and coordination between the two sides, aiming to serve residents and improve the level of services provided to them.
In another stop during the tour, the delegation held a meeting with the head of the Dora Al-Qari Village Council, Youssef Zaghloul, in the presence of several council members, where they discussed the water supply situation in the village, highlighted the major needs and challenges, and emphasized the importance of continued joint coordination to address priority issues.
Engineer Thaer Jloud emphasized during the meetings that the Jerusalem Governorate Water Department continues to work within the available resources to ensure the sustainability of water supply, noting that addressing summer challenges requires integrated efforts between the department, local authorities, and citizens, contributing to improving water resource management and meeting increasing demands.
At the conclusion of the tour, participants stressed the importance of maintaining cooperation and joint coordination between the department and the village councils, ensuring the provision of the best services to citizens and elevating the quality of water services. The department also urged citizens to contact the unified call center at 128 to report any observations or complaints, ensuring quick responses, and benefiting from the electronic services provided by the department through its application on smartphones, which facilitates the completion of many services easily and quickly.
