Minister of Economy Mohammad Al-Amour discusses with the Jordanian Ambassador enhancing economic cooperation and following up on the outcomes of the joint committee
SadaNews - Minister of National Economy Mohammad Al-Amour met today with the Ambassador of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to the State of Palestine, Issam Al-Badour, at the headquarters of the Ministry of National Economy in Ramallah, to discuss ways to enhance bilateral cooperation and follow up on the outcomes of the Palestinian-Jordanian joint committee.
During the meeting, Al-Amour stressed the importance of building on the outcomes of the joint committee's work, which contributes to the development of economic and trade relations between the two countries, enhancing the strategic partnership that binds them in various fields, and emphasizing the depth of the fraternal and historical relations that connect the two brotherly peoples.
The meeting reviewed the latest developments concerning the follow-up on the implementation of the agreements reached in the joint committee meetings, especially regarding the required facilities at the citizen crossing and the commercial crossing, in addition to following up on agreements in priority economic sectors, and working to overcome any obstacles to trade and investment exchange between the two sides.
The meeting also addressed several general political issues of mutual interest, where the importance of continuing coordination and consultation between the Palestinian and Jordanian leaderships in light of regional and international developments was emphasized.
The two sides also discussed the preparations for the investment conference that will be held in Jordan next April, where the Jordanian Ambassador called for extensive and effective Palestinian participation in the conference's activities, reflecting the robustness of bilateral relations and opening new horizons for the Palestinian private sector to benefit from available investment opportunities.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the two sides agreed to continue communication and joint coordination, serving the common economic interests and supporting the resilience of the Palestinian economy.
