Palestine Stock Exchange Concludes "Your Stock in Your University... Learn and Trade" Competition at An-Najah National University
SadaNews - The Palestine Stock Exchange, in collaboration with the Faculty of Business and Communication at An-Najah National University, concluded the activities of the "Your Stock in Your University... Learn and Trade" competition that started at the beginning of December 2025 as a qualitative educational experience that moved students from classroom seats to the heart of the financial market, transitioning from theoretical learning to practicing trading and making sound investment decisions.
Thirty students from various academic disciplines participated in the competition, divided into five groups, each managing investment portfolios and executing real trading operations, as part of a series of challenges that combined financial analysis, risk assessment, daily price movement monitoring, and executing various administrative tasks under the direct supervision of a team at the Palestine Stock Exchange and academics from the college.
For his part, the General Manager of the Palestine Stock Exchange, Mr. Nihad Kamal, confirmed that this experience demonstrated the success of the practice-based learning and actual trading model, placing the financial market at the center of the educational process and facilitating students’ practical engagement as investors in various sessions. He pointed out that the achievements made by the participating teams reflect the importance of integrating students early on in a real market environment. He added that the Palestine Stock Exchange is continuing to develop this initiative and expand its scope to include other Palestinian universities, contributing to enhancing financial culture and building a generation aware of the investment rules in the Palestine Stock Exchange as a national and safe market.
Meanwhile, the Dean of the Faculty of Business and Communication at An-Najah National University, Dr. Raafat Al-Jallad, emphasized that this competition represented a qualitative educational experience that strengthened the integration between academic knowledge and practical application, allowing students to practice analysis skills, decision-making, and responsibility in an environment that simulates the economic reality and the financial market. He also thanked the Palestine Stock Exchange for providing this distinguished educational opportunity and its active role in supporting practical education and contributing to preparing qualified young cadres capable of efficiently addressing the needs of the financial and investment sector.
Mr. Amin Darwish, the CEO of CFI (the diamond sponsor), stated that the company's support for this initiative aligns with its vision of empowering the young generation and enhancing its presence in the financial markets through modern trading tools and a safe, transparent investment environment. At the conclusion of the competition, the results of the participating teams were announced, where portfolios and administrative tasks were evaluated based on a set of professional criteria, amidst praise for the advanced level demonstrated by students in handling the competition challenges with a competitive and responsible spirit.
