Israeli Police Arrest Two Suspects Attempting to Smuggle 12 Million Shekels Through the Allenby Crossing

The Israeli police said in a statement, according to SadaNews translation, "The suspects were transferred to the Central Border Guard Unit in the West Bank for interrogation and were subsequently placed in custody. The court has extended their detention.
The Israeli commander of the Border Guard in the West Bank, Major Niso Geita, stated: "Border Guard fighters in the West Bank work alongside other security agencies in the region, with determination and resolve, to cut off the lifeline of terrorism: money. This operation, which revealed more than 12 million Israeli shekels intended for terrorism, is part of a widespread campaign to sever the funding routes of terrorist organizations,” as he expressed.
He added: "Recently, in cooperation with other security forces, we have been able to seize vast amounts of money totaling millions of shekels throughout the West Bank. We will continue to work vigorously and in complete cooperation to ensure the security of the citizens of the State of Israel."
