Ministry of National Economy: Financing for Non-Profit Companies Rises to $135 Million in 2025, an Increase of 170% Over 2024 to Support the Resilience of Citizens in Gaza
SadaNews - On Saturday, the Ministry of National Economy announced that the volume of financing received by non-profit companies in Palestine during the year 2025 reached approximately $135 million, of which about $120 million is allocated to support our people in the Gaza Strip.
The ministry explained that this financing is directed to meet urgent needs in vital sectors in the Gaza Strip, primarily including emergency medical assistance, immediate relief for affected families, community development programs, support and rehabilitation for persons with disabilities, mental health, capacity building, and women's empowerment, in addition to supporting shelters, all of which enhances the resilience of the Palestinian community and improves the level of services provided to the most vulnerable groups.
The ministry noted that financing in 2025 recorded an increase of 170% compared to 2024, during which financing amounted to only about $50 million, clarifying that this growth came as a result of simplifying procedures, expediting transactions, and diligent follow-up to ensure that support reaches deserving institutions efficiently and transparently.
The ministry emphasized that support for non-profit companies forms a cornerstone for enhancing humanitarian and community work in Palestine, and embodies the government's commitment to responding to the social, health, and economic needs of citizens, especially in light of the extraordinary circumstances that the Gaza Strip is experiencing.
Additionally, it added that the ministry's future plans focus on continuing to support developmental, social, health, and relief projects, along with reconstruction efforts, contributing to improving the quality of life and strengthening the capabilities of non-profit institutions to fulfill their national and community role.
