National Bank Renews Partnership with Flow Business Accelerator within the Orange Corners Entrepreneurship Program
SadaNews - The National Bank and Flow business accelerator announced the renewal of their partnership agreement under the "Orange Corners" program, supported by the Dutch government, in support of Palestinian youth entrepreneurship and contributing to the development of innovative technological solutions for various economic sectors in Palestine, with a focus on financial technology.
The signing took place during the graduation ceremony of the eighth cohort of entrepreneurs benefiting from the program, comprising 12 entrepreneurial projects that were developed and incubated throughout the year to be ready for investment and market launch, thus bringing the total number of projects developed this year to 28 entrepreneurial projects.
Reem Anani, the Director of Public Relations at the National Bank, confirmed that renewing the agreement reflects the National Bank's ongoing commitment to supporting the technology and entrepreneurship sector in Palestine, particularly in the field of financial technology (FinTech). She pointed out that this partnership contributes to empowering young entrepreneurs and enhancing their ability to develop their projects and access markets, positively impacting the creation of new job opportunities and supporting sustainable economic development in Palestine.
For her part, Majd Khalifa, Executive Director and Co-founder of Flow Accelerator, stated that this partnership is the culmination of a long path of continuous cooperation between the two institutions, following the accumulated successes achieved over the past years through various interventions and programs, especially within the Orange Corners program.
She noted that the National Bank contributed to the success of this program through financial support and in-kind support, represented in qualitative participations that included specialized sessions, idea generation activities, and the production of specialized knowledge content.
She added that the model of this partnership has been developed and improved to serve as a model to be emulated in integrating the entrepreneurship ecosystem and the private sector, aiming to bridge the existing gap between them, and enhancing the role of each party in supporting innovation and entrepreneurship on sustainable foundations.
It is worth mentioning that the National Bank, in addition to its financial support for the program, has provided a range of non-financial services to entrepreneurs, including mentoring, consulting in preparing financial models, building indicators, conducting specialized workshops in financial and banking awareness, in addition to participating in jury and evaluation committees for entrepreneurs' projects and ideas.
