Occupation Issues Demolition and Evacuation Orders for 17 Agricultural Facilities in Al-Taybeh Plain

SadaNews - The Israeli occupation authorities have issued orders for the demolition and evacuation of 17 agricultural facilities in the plain of the city of Al-Taybeh, located within the 1948 territories, under the pretext of construction without a permit.

The owners of the 17 facilities were surprised to find stickers placed on the buildings and agricultural facilities, stating that they must be evacuated and demolished, amid rising fears of plans targeting the lands of the plain.

The Al-Taybeh plain area is facing an Israeli plan to establish a "land port" on lands extending over approximately 2200 dunams, a project that residents say threatens to seize large areas of agricultural land in the region, while it is supposed to serve the central region and Tel Aviv, including facilities for processing and storing solid construction waste.

In recent weeks, the residents of Al-Taybeh organized a series of protests against the project, including setting up a sit-in tent, asserting that the plan targets the only remaining natural outlet for the city and threatens the lands of the citizens.
