Palestine Bank Launches the Eighth Batch of the Palestinian Mini MBA Business Management Program for Women Entrepreneurs
SadaNews - The Palestine Bank has launched the eighth batch of the "Palestinian Mini MBA Business Management" program, in partnership with Global Communities, as part of the "Supporting the Growth and Competitiveness of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises in Palestine" program (SMCGP) funded by the Swedish government, in collaboration with the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the Women's Business Forum, and Ernst & Young.
This batch includes 25 women entrepreneurs from various parts of the West Bank and Jerusalem. The program aims to enhance financial awareness and build leadership and entrepreneurial capabilities, contributing to the empowerment of women in various economic and social fields.
For his part, Mr. Mahmoud Al-Shawa, General Manager of Palestine Bank, expressed his pride in the continuation of the program despite current challenges, confirming that the launch of the eighth batch of the "Palestinian Mini MBA Business Management" program reflects the bank's commitment to empowering Palestinian women and enhancing their role in society. He added that this program embodies the bank's established directions in supporting women, contributing to the solidification of sustainable development values, expanding financial inclusion, and boosting the Palestinian economy by creating new job opportunities.
Al-Shawa explained that Palestinian women have proven their competence and ability to excel in launching and developing projects in various fields, affirming that entrepreneurship is an effective tool for empowering women to face challenges and build a better life for themselves, their families, and their communities.
For her part, Ms. Lina Fatoum, Director of the SMCGP program at Global Communities, expressed her pride in partnering with Palestine Bank to launch the eighth batch of the Palestinian Mini MBA Business Management program, which is considered one of the vital pillars of the Supporting the Growth and Competitiveness of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises in Palestine program (SMCGP). It directly supports women by empowering female entrepreneurs and developing their leadership and management skills, with a tangible impact on enhancing the Palestinian economy.
The training program lasts for three consecutive months and includes training women on a range of skills that support the development of their projects, such as: financial management, planning and strategy development, marketing and promotion via social media, as well as customer service and after-sales, in addition to other topics that contribute to improving the performance of their projects.
It is noteworthy that the "Palestinian Mini MBA Business Management" program is part of the "Palestinian" program launched in 2014 aimed at enhancing the role of Palestinian women and connecting them with various training programs, experts, and opportunities through a wide network of local and international partners, alongside providing banking products tailored for them. To date, 195 women from various governorates of the homeland have benefited from the program.
