Sharp Increase in Industrial Production by 14.34% During July 2025

SadaNews - The index of industrial production quantities recorded a sharp increase of 14.34% during July 2025 compared to June 2025, as the index of industrial production quantities rose to 84.94 in July 2025 compared to 74.29 in June 2025 (base year 2019 = 100).

The manufacturing industries recorded a sharp increase of 16.01% during July 2025 compared to the previous month, with a relative importance of 87.89% of total industrial activities.

As for the subactivities that have a significant relative impact on the overall index, several manufacturing activities recorded increases in July 2025 compared to the previous month, notably; manufacturing of fabricated metal products excluding machinery and equipment, manufacturing of other non-metallic mineral products, clothing manufacturing, beverage manufacturing, printing and reproduction of recorded media, food manufacturing, tobacco manufacturing, chemicals and chemical products manufacturing, furniture manufacturing, textiles manufacturing, and leather and related products manufacturing.

On the other hand, the index recorded a decrease in the activity of manufacturing basic pharmaceutical products and preparations.

The activities of electricity, gas, steam supply, and air conditioning recorded an increase of 6.32%, with a relative importance of 7.38% of total industrial activities. 

Mining and quarrying activities recorded an increase of 4.73%, with a relative importance of 2.89% of total industrial activities.

Water supply, sewage, waste management, and treatment activities recorded an increase of 4.48%, with a relative importance of 1.84% of total industrial activities.
