The President Receives the Annual Report of the Financial Monitoring Unit for 2024
SadaNews Economy - The President of the State of Palestine, Mahmoud Abbas, received the annual report of the Financial Monitoring Unit for the year 2024, approved by the National Committee for Anti-Money Laundering and Combating the Financing of Terrorism, and the hundred-day report on the work of the Palestinian Monetary Authority under its new management.
This took place during his reception at the presidential headquarters in Ramallah this Thursday evening of the Governor of the Palestinian Monetary Authority, Chairman of the National Committee for Anti-Money Laundering and Combating the Financing of Terrorism, Yahya Shanar, and the Head of the Financial Monitoring Unit, Firas Marar.
The President affirmed his support for the work of the Monetary Authority and the Financial Monitoring Unit in maintaining economic security and financial stability.
He praised the efforts of the Monetary Authority and the Financial Monitoring Unit in this regard at both the national and international levels, and the importance of providing the necessary political support for their work in accordance with the law.
Shanar briefed the President on the key results of the reports and activities carried out by the Palestinian Monetary Authority and the unit to mitigate the challenges surrounding the financial sector over the past year, as well as the most important strategies and activities that will be undertaken with national and international partners in the upcoming period.
