Between Silence and Fire: Palestine Facing Supported Israeli Extremism
Where is Israel heading today? Is it merely a state seeking security, or an organized occupying machine operating without limits? The path it is taking has become clear to anyone with insight: a path of deception and destruction of everything Palestinian, a path aiming to destroy the dream of Palestinians in self-determination. This is a path that knows no peace or two-state solution, with a clear plan involving killing or displacement. It seeks to completely reshape Palestinian reality to execute their diabolical plans and ideas, ensuring their continued rule. Their silence and concealment of their plans are exposed by the number of children and journalist martyrs, as well as the number of homes demolished and destroyed in Gaza and the West Bank, and the rapidly growing and expanding settlements, especially in light of Smotrich's recent statements that revealed a clear intention to impose Israeli sovereignty over parts of the West Bank, followed by Netanyahu's practices on the ground which confirm the government's tendency toward silent annexation and planned violence.
A far-right government led by Netanyahu and extremist members has abandoned Israeli prisoners held by the resistance in Gaza and suppressed Israeli protests for their release. At the same time, they practice torture and killing against Palestinian prisoners to implement their destructive agenda for Israel, prioritizing it over Palestine, driven by their vile values and morals. These individuals seem indifferent to Israel's reputation, international law, or the world, choosing secrecy and silence as tools to execute their grand project: to eliminate any prospect of a Palestinian state through the total occupation of Gaza and isolating Palestinian cities in the West Bank to become disconnected islands under absolute control, subject to dismantling and restructuring that serves the Israeli agenda.
What is happening does not occur in a vacuum; it happens with the full support and cover of President Trump and his administration, in collusion with Europe and the Arab world, which is manifested in halting aid to Palestinians, barring their attendance at the UN General Assembly, and the Security Council taking no decisions to stop violations, supported by the American veto, in addition to ignoring agreements, international resolutions, and the Arab initiative. This support has granted the Israeli government a green light to exercise its policies without restraint amid global silence that practically legitimizes planned genocide, silent annexation, and tightened siege.
When Netanyahu asserts before his government that the operation must be conducted quietly and secretly, he is not merely discussing military or political measures but rather a studied strategy to change realities on the ground before the world realizes their extent. Silent annexation, tighter sieges, and planned genocide that disregard international law are all tools for reshaping Palestinian reality, not for settlement or peace.
Gaza is not just a card on a political table but a declared war field on the lives of millions of civilians, their dignity, and their future. The Israeli government treats Gaza as a testing ground for historical experiences of cleansing and control through comprehensive violence, forced displacement, and a suffocating economic blockade, striking at every capacity of the Palestinian people to resist. Meanwhile, media and politics attempt to present this repression as security guarantees or limited humanitarian intervention. The West Bank, on the other hand, is a separation arena where cities are disconnected, isolating Qalqilya, Tubas, and Bethlehem from the Palestinian fabric, turning the Palestinian islands into scattered pieces, as if the message is clear to everyone: there will be no connected Palestinian state, and Palestinians will not have any real political horizon.
The Palestinian people stand at a historic crossroads: national unity is not a choice but an inevitable necessity; peaceful popular resistance is not just a weapon but a persistence, organization, and planning towards real and sustained international support. Reacting wisely and calmly is not weakness but a life strategy that ensures the continuation of struggle and achieving the maximum gain possible under occupation conditions. The Arab nation is called upon now more than ever to take practical steps, for political, economic, and humanitarian support, and to boycott aggressive Israeli projects is the only way to deter these extremist policies, especially in light of the collusion of some Arab capitals that turn a blind eye to ongoing crimes.
The whole world, especially the Security Council, cannot remain silent anymore; silence over violations means complicity in them. It must activate Chapter Seven immediately to impose sanctions and binding measures against Israel, and stop the genocide war. European countries must cease economic and political cooperation with Israel and impose immediate sanctions because silence or economic participation reinforces policies of extremism, annexation, and genocide. Arab countries must act seriously by threatening Israel with the expulsion of ambassadors and breaking diplomatic and commercial relations if violations continue, and they must bear their responsibility towards the Palestinian people; otherwise, silence will be complicit in the crime.
Palestinian factions are invited to coordinate and plan jointly to enhance popular and civil resistance, unify efforts, and prepare for all scenarios. They are the force that grants Palestinians the ability to endure and persist in the face of the escalating occupation policies.
Israel today transcends all moral, humanitarian, and legal limits, and between silence and maps, between Gaza and the West Bank, the steadfastness of Palestinians and the ability of the nation to move meaningfully and effectively are being tested. The extreme Israeli policy will not stop unless it is confronted by the Palestinian people, the Arab nation, and the international community with strength, clear boundaries, and a long-term strategy that does not rely solely on slogans but on tangible actions in a world where news intertwines with reality and the rights of millions are quietly disregarded. Reading between the lines has become an indispensable life skill, as Palestinians know that the greatest challenge lies not only in daily battles but in the world's ability to see the truth before the fire consumes everything left and the earth itself turns to ash beneath the feet of extremism and occupation.
