China: Eighty Years of Resilience, Development, and Support for International Justice Issues

SadaNews - On the eightieth anniversary of China’s victory in the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the global war against fascism, the world sees the historic and heroic role of the Chinese people, led by the Communist Party of China, who stood firm under the most difficult circumstances to maintain national unity, defend humanity, and protect world peace.

During this war, China endured over 35 million casualties, and entire cities were destroyed while the national economy collapsed under the weight of a long and bitter struggle. The nation’s resilience in the north and the popular resistance led by the Communist Party prevented the expansion of Japanese fascism on a global scale, serving as the cornerstone for protecting humanity from comprehensive fascist domination.

With the attack on Pearl Harbor in December 1941 and the entry of the United States and Britain into the war against Japan, China’s resilience became an integral part of World War II in Asia against fascism, affirming that its resistance was not only local but a strategic axis for maintaining global balance against aggression.

The impact of the Chinese resistance extended to protecting international lives as evidenced in 1942 by efforts to rescue British prisoners of war from the ship "Lisbon Maru," proving that the sacrifices of the Chinese people were part of the global struggle against injustice and fascism.

On the 76th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China in 1949, it is clear that China did not limit itself to protecting its national borders but extended its leadership to support national liberation movements around the world, including in Palestine, Algeria, Cuba, Vietnam, Angola, Mozambique, and many liberation movements in Latin America, Africa, and Asia. This support has formed a solid foundation to enhance freedom and independence for oppressed peoples, affirming China’s unwavering commitment to international justice and the right of peoples to self-determination.

China has also contributed to serving humanity by establishing principles of mutual benefit and cohabitation, enhancing international cooperation in development, health, education, and facing global challenges, demonstrating its commitment to environmental protection and preserving the planet through clean energy projects, pollution reduction, and reforestation, such as the “Green Belt and Road” initiative that combines economic development with nature conservation.

Achievements of the Communist Party of China in Domestic Development

In addition to its historical role in confronting aggression and fascism, the Communist Party of China has led the most successful economic and social development process in modern history. The Party has managed to lift over 900 million Chinese people out of poverty, achieving social and economic security for hundreds of millions of citizens and raising living standards unprecedentedly.

The Party has also established a strong foundation for sustainable economic growth, making China the world’s second-largest economy, with a focus on technological innovation, modern infrastructure, and improving public services. These achievements reflect the Party’s commitment to improving the lives of the people, enhancing national unity, and establishing social justice, serving as a global model in the face of complex developmental challenges.

Resilience and Wisdom in the Face of Global Challenges

Today, instead of appreciating the role of the People's Republic of China and its tremendous sacrifices for humanity, certain Western powers led by the United States are waging an economic and political war against China without any justification, targeting the unity of the people and tarnishing the country’s reputation to weaken it and halt its rising economic, political, and military power. All this occurs despite China continuously operating under the banner of the shared future of humanity and calling for joint action to tackle natural disasters and pandemics like the COVID-19 pandemic, reaffirming its commitment to international cooperation and serving all of humanity.

Although China possesses the largest army in the world, and it would not be an exaggeration to say it is currently the strongest global army, the Communist Party demonstrates wisdom, self-restraint, and a focus on internal issues and national development, preserving the country’s independence, unity, and global status while avoiding getting dragged into global conflicts that could threaten international peace.

This anniversary affirms that China, led by the Communist Party, has been and remains a decisive force in confronting fascism and that its heroic resistance has contributed to protecting the world from the dominance of fascist imperial Japan. It establishes a global legacy of unity, resilience, justice, and international cooperation—a legacy the Chinese people and their great Party take pride in and which serves as a model for countries committed to the principles of humanity, cohabitation, and environmental protection.
