Occupation Notifies of Seizing Lands in Deir Dibwan and Constructing a Military Road East of Ramallah

SadaNews - The municipality of Deir Dibwan, east of Ramallah, announced that it has officially been notified of two military orders issued by the Israeli occupation authorities, which entail seizing areas of the town's land and constructing a military road, involving a number of plots and sections.

The municipality stated in a statement that the military orders target lands owned by citizens of the town, urging the landowners involved to urgently consult the municipality to complete the legal procedures and prepare objections, emphasizing that the deadline for submitting objections does not exceed seven days from the date of notification.

It added that the specialized teams are working on cataloging the targeted lands and communicating with their owners, in preparation for taking the necessary legal actions to confront the decision.

This action comes amid the escalating issuance of "seizure" orders by the occupation authorities against Palestinian lands under the pretext of military purposes, which are often used to construct military roads that serve and expand settlements, as confirmed by the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission in its latest report. The commission indicated that the occupation has issued dozens of military orders during the first half of this year, targeting hundreds of dunams of citizens' land, which led to the establishment of military roads, buffer zones, and sites that serve the settlement project.
