Settlers Establish New Settlement Outpost Near the Tomb of Prophet Moses East of Jerusalem
SadaNews - Today, Monday, settlers established a new settlement outpost near the Tomb of Prophet Moses, east of occupied Jerusalem, as part of the ongoing colonial expansion in the area.
The Jerusalem governorate reported that the settlers began constructing the settlement outpost in the vicinity of the Tomb of Prophet Moses, in a new step aimed at imposing settlement realities on the ground and expanding control over Palestinian lands in the region.
The area extending between Jerusalem and the Jordan Valley is witnessing a continuous escalation in settlement activities, through the establishment of colonial outposts and the seizure of pastures and agricultural lands, which threatens the Palestinian presence and undermines the geographical continuity between Palestinian communities.
The establishment of the new outpost comes amid the accelerating colonial expansion taking place in the West Bank, particularly around the city of occupied Jerusalem, amidst an upsurge in settlers' assaults protected by Israeli occupation forces.
