Israel Fears Trump's Sale of Stealth Aircraft to Turkey
Translation by SadaNews - Israeli Channel 13 reported on Thursday evening that the Israel Defense Forces expressed concern over U.S. President Donald Trump's announcement of his intention to sell the F-35 stealth aircraft to Turkey.
The Hebrew channel quoted a senior Israeli officer as saying, as translated by SadaNews, that this move could significantly jeopardize the operational freedom of the air force.
The channel noted the developing relations between Trump and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
Trump revealed that he recently prevented Erdoğan from joining the Iranians in the recent war, while Ankara did not comment on that.
Meanwhile, Channel 14 in Hebrew considered Trump's intention as a very concerning development for Israel.
It stated: In fact, the return of this option now raises much greater concerns than it did the last time Trump spoke about it, for several reasons, including the diminishing power of Israeli air supremacy and Erdoğan's escalating rhetoric against Israel.
