China announces detention of American citizen on suspicion of espionage
SadaNews - China announced on Friday that it is detaining an American citizen who works as an analyst at a research center specializing in Burma affairs, on suspicion of engaging in espionage activities, according to the French Press Agency.
Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Lin Jian, stated at a press conference that Min Zhen, who founded the Institute for Strategy and Policy in Burma, "has undergone mandatory criminal procedures... on suspicion of engaging in espionage activities that endanger China's national security."
