America Plans to Compensate the Gulf from Iranian Assets
Sada News - According to a source familiar with the matter, the United States intends to make Iranian assets available to its allies in the Gulf to support reconstruction and repair any future damage that may be caused by Tehran.
The source added that Washington is also considering using those assets to help repair damages that have already occurred to its allies in the region, as part of a broader review of compensation and support mechanisms.
He pointed out that U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Piesen has directed a specialized team to conduct a comprehensive assessment of the costs of the damage attributed to Iran in the Gulf countries, in preparation for studying ways to finance repair and reconstruction operations.
This step comes amid ongoing regional tensions, alongside U.S. actions aimed at strengthening support for allies and protecting critical infrastructure in the region.
