Report: Iran Stops Message Exchange with America Until Israel Halts Attacks in Gaza and Lebanon

SadaNews - On Monday evening, the Tasnim news agency reported that Iran has decided to halt the exchange of messages and indirect discussions with the United States through intermediaries, in protest against the continued Israeli military operations in Gaza and Lebanon.

According to the agency, Tehran has informed intermediaries that the resumption of any negotiating track depends on halting military operations in Gaza and Lebanon, and the withdrawal of Israeli forces from the Lebanese territories they still occupy.

The reports added that the Iranian leadership and entities known as the Resistance Front are considering multiple escalatory options in response to recent developments, with assurances to continue supporting allied fronts in the region.

The circulating information also indicated that the Strait of Hormuz and the Bab el-Mandeb are still among the issues raised in any potential regional escalation equation, amid rising military and political tensions on multiple fronts.

This move is seen as an indication of the complexity of communications between Tehran and Washington, and the increasing likelihood of an expansion of tension in the region in the coming phase.
