Reduction of Public Transportation Tariff by 50% of the Increase Approved in April
SadaNews - The Ministry of Transportation and Communications announced today, Monday, a 50% reduction in public transportation fares from the increase approved last April.
The ministry added in a statement that based on its responsibility in organizing the public transport sector and ensuring fairness in public transport fare pricing, the tariff has been reduced by 50% in coordination with public transport unions, in line with the new fuel prices announced by the General Petroleum Corporation in the Ministry of Finance for June 2026, and aligned with the new pricing.
