Sources reported that the requested amendments primarily focus on the mechanism for handling Iran's stockpile of enriched uranium, including details on the transfer of nuclear materials and the timing for implementing related procedures.

Trump has also requested a review of certain phrasing related to the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, as Washington and Tehran continue to exchange comments on the final draft.

Trump held a meeting in the White House Situation Room on Friday to discuss the agreement, while an American official confirmed after the meeting that the president "will only finalize an agreement that serves American interests and ensures that Iran does not possess nuclear weapons."

The current draft includes an Iranian commitment not to pursue the development of nuclear weapons, along with a 60-day period for negotiating the details of the Iranian nuclear program and steps for alleviating US sanctions.
