Israeli Army Doubts the Possibility of Isolating Hezbollah from US-Iran Negotiations

SadaNews - The Israeli army has expressed doubts about the possibility of isolating Hezbollah from the negotiations between the United States and Iran, which aim to end the war in the region.

This came according to a report by the Israeli army radio, in a report this evening, Thursday.

According to the report, the Israeli army states that "the political leadership is working to sever ties between Iran and Hezbollah in the negotiations between the United States and Iran, but it doubts the success of these efforts."

The report indicated that "the army does not rule out the possibility of these efforts failing and Lebanon being a party to any future agreement with Iran."

Regarding the ongoing negotiations between Israel and Lebanon, a senior officer described in the report expressed doubt about the Lebanese state and army's ability to disarm Hezbollah, stating that "only the Israeli army is capable of carrying out this task."

The Israeli army acknowledges that "there is much work to be done to improve detection, warning, and protection efforts against the drones" launched by Hezbollah.

In this regard, a senior officer said: "We are building fortifications, but we still need to improve our operational approach."

The report noted that in recent weeks, the Israeli army has been equipped with "special binoculars and ammunition... and has so far succeeded in shooting down dozens of drones, using them."

The Israeli army claims that "with each passing day, Hezbollah is weakening more and more, and there is a significant opportunity to exert more pressure on it and achieve tangible gains."

It mentioned that "time is undoubtedly a critical factor that cannot be exploited without interruption, and prolonging it for months is not wise; it is not right to prolong the war, but there are opportunities to change the reality and influence Hezbollah to disarm it."

According to the report, the Israeli army acknowledges "that Israel operates under political constraints in its military operation in Lebanon, and that its attacks on targets deep in Lebanon, mainly in Beirut, are limited," noting that the occupation army commits dozens of violations of the ceasefire daily, and today it targeted the Lebanese capital, Beirut.

The Israeli army confirms that "in the entire operational area in southern Lebanon, south and north of the Litani River, there are no limits to the attacks; on the contrary."

A security source told the army radio that "there are no limits, and this does not worry the forces. We are carrying out significant offensive movements to significantly reduce the threats facing the towns, including the threat of drones."
