Lebanon: Martyrs Due to Israeli Airstrikes and Evacuation Warning for the City of Tyre and Surroundings

SadaNews - Many Lebanese were martyred and injured on Wednesday due to intense Israeli airstrikes that targeted wide areas in southern Lebanon and the Bekaa, on the first day of Eid al-Adha, while the Israeli army expanded the scope of its aerial and ground attacks, coinciding with an unprecedented warning to evacuate the city of Tyre and its surroundings in preparation for an attack.

The Israeli army issued an urgent warning calling on residents of the city of Tyre, its camps, and the surrounding neighborhoods, including Burj al-Shamali, Rashidiya, al-Hosh, al-Bas, al-Ma'shough, and Ain Bi'al, to evacuate their homes immediately and head north of the Zahrani River, claiming that the area contains "facilities and weaponry" belonging to Hezbollah.

This comes amid ongoing military escalation, during which the Israeli army announced the downing of explosive drones in the northern part of the country and the firing of interception missiles toward "suspicious air targets" spotted near its deployment sites in southern Lebanon, while announcing attacks on more than 150 targets which it said were infrastructure and elements belonging to Hezbollah in Tyre, Nabatieh, and the Bekaa in the past twenty-four hours.

Meanwhile, Hezbollah continues to announce targeting sites, vehicles, and gatherings of the Israeli army in southern Lebanon and northern Israel, despite the ongoing clashes even after the ceasefire agreement announced on April 17 of last year, extended until the beginning of July, amid rising Israeli violations and an expanding scope of shelling and incursions.
