Israel: The Voluntary Migration Plan from Gaza Will Be Implemented

SadaNews - Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant announced on Wednesday that Israel will implement the "voluntary migration" plan from the Gaza Strip.

While revealing the assassination of the new military leader of Hamas, Mohammad Awada, Gallant stated that "the voluntary migration plan from Gaza will be executed at the right timing and in the appropriate manner."

Gallant's statements contradict the agreement that led to the ceasefire in Gaza, which was brokered by the United States in October of last year.

U.S. President Donald Trump and senior Israeli officials have hinted on several occasions at the possibility of displacing Palestinians from the Gaza Strip, most of which has suffered significant destruction due to more than two years of conflict.

However, these statements faced objections from countries in the region and around the world, prompting Trump to later retract them.

The ceasefire agreement reached in October resulted in Israel controlling more than half of the Gaza Strip, while Hamas retains control over a narrow coastal strip.

Indirect negotiations between Israel and Hamas regarding the implementation of the second phase of the agreement have reached a deadlock.
