"Even if my cat took power instead of Netanyahu".. A friend wishes for a coup against him

SadaNews: A former friend of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Tuesday that he would be happy if a military coup occurred against him, considering that even if his cat took power, it would be better than Netanyahu.

This was stated in remarks made by Eyal Migdad to the Israeli radio station "103 FM", which referred to him as "the former friend of Netanyahu" without further clarification.

Migdad declared that "the situation in the country is deteriorating unbelievably, and now, a completely pointless war continues in Lebanon, and we are receiving blows from Hezbollah".

Migdad continued: "I would be happy if a military coup occurred against Netanyahu; we cannot continue in this madness. How long will this situation last? A single family controls the country? I would be happy if a military coup happened in Israel".

In Israel, Netanyahu is currently on trial for corruption charges that could lead to prison if convicted, and he is also required to appear before the International Criminal Court on charges of committing war crimes and other offenses against humanity against the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

Migdad added: "I would be happy, even if my cat took power instead of Netanyahu, it would be in the country’s interest. Netanyahu has decided to destroy us. He doesn't care what will happen to Israel after his departure".

Netanyahu has been leading the government since late December 2022, and for years he has rejected opposition demands for early elections, amid accusations of failure, tyranny, and placing his personal interests above those of Israel.

However, there is currently a bill in the Knesset to dissolve itself and advance elections originally scheduled for October next year after the parliament's term ends.

Migdad concluded: "If anyone thinks that the upcoming elections will remove Bibi (Netanyahu) from the historical stage, they are completely mistaken".

He ended by saying that "this man is determined to exit the historical stage with blood, fire, and smoke".
