Al-Tamimi and Shaaban Visit Khan al-Ahmar

SadaNews - The Minister of Land Authority, Alaa Al-Tamimi, accompanied by the Minister of the Wall and Settlement Resistance, Muayyad Shaaban, the Deputy Head of the Land Authority, Samer Oudi, and a delegation of employees from the Land Authority and the Wall and Settlement Resistance Authority, visited the village of Khan al-Ahmar east of Jerusalem. This visit confirmed support for the steadfastness of the citizens in light of the ongoing Israeli threats and measures aimed at displacing the residents and evacuating the community.

The delegation was received by the head of the village council in Khan al-Ahmar, Eid Khamees, where they listened to the needs of the citizens and the challenges faced by the community, especially in light of the escalating occupation measures and pressures aimed at emptying the area of its original inhabitants.

During the visit, a phone call was made with the Prime Minister, during which he confirmed the full support of the government for the people of Khan al-Ahmar and its commitment to providing all necessary requirements to bolster the steadfastness of the citizens in their lands, and to continue political and legal efforts to confront the plans for forced displacement.

The Head of the Land Authority, Minister Alaa Al-Tamimi, confirmed that what Khan al-Ahmar is facing represents a direct targeting of the Palestinian presence in the surrounding areas of Jerusalem, and an attempt to impose new colonial realities on the ground through forced displacement and settlement expansion. He emphasized that protecting Palestinian communities and enhancing the steadfastness of the citizens in their lands is a national priority and a collective responsibility for all official institutions.

Al-Tamimi indicated that the Land Authority continues its work in protecting Palestinian land and establishing real estate rights, especially in areas targeted by the occupation, asserting that the steadfastness of the people of Khan al-Ahmar on their land sends an important national message in confronting uprooting and displacement projects, and that all attempts to empty the area of its residents will not succeed in breaking the will of the citizens or imposing a new reality by force.

Al-Tamimi called for urgent international intervention to stop this crime, which is part of the daily crimes committed by the occupation against the Palestinian people and their land. He urged representatives of countries and international organizations to visit Khan al-Ahmar to see firsthand the extent of violations and threats facing the residents and to stand against the settlement occupation project targeting the Palestinian presence in the area.

For his part, the Head of the Wall and Settlement Resistance Authority, Minister Muayyad Shaaban, stated that the targeting of Khan al-Ahmar is not an isolated incident, but rather part of a strategic settlement project aimed at separating the northern West Bank from the southern part and eliminating any possibility of establishing a geographically connected Palestinian state. He emphasized that Khan al-Ahmar has become a symbol of Palestinian resilience and a break against uprooting and displacement plans.
