Netanyahu: Our Eyes are on Iran, and We are Ready for All Possibilities

SadaNews - Amid heightened security in Israel, anticipating the potential resumption of war, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu affirmed that his country is keeping a close watch on Tehran, and is prepared for all scenarios.

Netanyahu also stated in remarks today, Sunday, that he is scheduled to speak with U.S. President Donald Trump, according to Reuters.

Additionally, he noted that he expects to be briefed on the details of Trump's visit to China, indicating they would also discuss the Iranian issue.

These remarks came after Israeli governmental sources reported that the Israeli army is on "high alert" for the possibility of resuming attacks on Iran, as cited by the newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth.

The Israeli sources revealed that the government is waiting for Trump's decision, pointing out that there are increasing indications that the U.S. president has concluded that Tehran is not prepared to accept his terms for ending the war. They noted that the United States and Israel are vigorously preparing for a resumption of military operations.

American sources also reported last Friday that the Pentagon is preparing for a return to war because Washington's original objectives have not been met, particularly regarding the Iranian nuclear program. Officials in the Middle East confirmed that the United States and Israel are conducting intensive preparations for the possibility of resuming attacks on Iran as early as next week, according to The New York Times.

This information comes as Pakistan, which has played a crucial role over the past months in bridging views between Washington and Tehran, continues its mediation efforts between both sides, hoping to reach an agreement to end the war that erupted on February 28.

Meanwhile, Tel Aviv prefers to continue the war and target a list of objectives within Iran.
