Trump: If Iran does not accept our proposal, bombing will begin at a much higher level

SadaNews - U.S. President Donald Trump has threatened to launch intense bombing on Iran if it rejects an American proposal to end the war.

Trump stated in a post on the "Truth Social" platform that if Tehran rejects the new American offer, "we will start bombings at a much higher level than before."

He added, "Assuming Iran agrees to abide by what has been agreed upon, which is a big assumption, the process of the legendary wrath saga would indeed come to an end, and effective sanctions would allow the Strait of Hormuz to open to everyone, including Iran."

The American proposal includes halting uranium enrichment in exchange for lifting sanctions and releasing frozen funds. Washington and Tehran are nearing the drafting of a memorandum of understanding to end the conflict and open the Strait of Hormuz, with an expected Iranian response within 48 hours. These diplomatic efforts aim to ensure that Tehran does not possess nuclear weapons.

The "Axios" website announced on Wednesday that America and Iran are close to reaching a one-page memorandum to end the war, indicating that Washington expects a response from Tehran within 48 hours, adding that there is no agreement yet, but America and Iran are closer than ever to reaching an agreement.

Axios noted that America is awaiting Iran's response on key points, confirming that the agreement will ensure Iran's commitment to halt enrichment and America's agreement to lift sanctions. It added that the agreement will ensure the release of Iran’s frozen funds by America.

Axios reported that the current form of the memorandum will announce the end of the war and the beginning of intensive negotiations for 30 days, and that negotiations are now underway on the duration of the halt in enrichment, which will reach at least 12 years.

The website quoted an American official saying that the current form of the agreement memorandum will announce the end of the war with Iran, confirming that America has added a clause that allows for extending the duration of the halt in enrichment if Iran raises the level. The memorandum will also set a framework for more detailed nuclear negotiations, as Iran will commit to an enhanced inspection regime under the agreement. Additionally, Iran will commit to not seeking to possess nuclear weapons under the agreement.

The website quoted two informed sources saying that Iran has agreed to remove highly enriched uranium, indicating that transferring the enriched uranium to America is among the options being considered.
