Palestinian Statistics Bureau Commences Training and Rehabilitation of Human Resources for Labor Force Survey in Gaza Strip

SadaNews - This morning, the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics began, via "Zoom" from Ramallah, retraining and rehabilitating the human resources working in the Gaza Strip, particularly the field workers involved in implementing the labor force survey. This step is considered essential for continuing statistical work efficiently and with high quality, especially in light of the exceptional challenges faced by the Gaza Strip.

Mr. Sufian Abu Harb, the acting head of the Palestinian Bureau of Statistics, affirmed that this step represents a fundamental pillar for restoring and continuing statistical work with high quality and professionalism. He pointed out that investing in building the capabilities of field researchers and updating their skills directly reflects on the accuracy and reliability of the data, especially in light of the exceptional and difficult circumstances the sector is experiencing.

The training includes several important topics related to the technical aspects of the labor force survey questionnaire, how to reach households, and how to interact with citizens under the difficult conditions faced by the Gaza Strip. It also includes updating the technical and field skills of researchers and enhancing their capabilities in data collection according to modern standards, in addition to providing them with psychological and professional support to enable them to perform their duties in a complex working environment due to the psychological and economic hardships caused by the Israeli occupation forces.
