13 Lebanese martyrs in the last 24 hours and the killing of an Israeli soldier with others injured including an officer

SadaNews - Lebanon announced on Sunday the counting of 13 martyrs and 30 injured in the past 24 hours, raising the total casualties of the Israeli aggression to 2,509 martyrs and 7,755 injured since March 2.

The Israeli army announced the death of one of its soldiers, and the injury of others, including an officer with serious wounds, during battles in southern Lebanon.

The Israeli army stated that in the same event, a combat officer and three fighters were seriously injured, one fighter with moderate injuries, and another fighter with minor injuries. Meanwhile, the Israeli Broadcasting Authority reported that the soldier was killed and the others were injured as a result of a strike from a Hezbollah drone.

Areas in southern Lebanon witnessed a massive wave of displacement due to extensive Israeli airstrikes, following Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's directive to escalate military operations. In his weekly government session, he claimed that "the violations committed by Hezbollah practically undermine the ceasefire," adding that the army is "operating forcefully in Lebanon and thwarting immediate and emerging threats," emphasizing that Israel "is acting decisively according to rules agreed upon with Washington and the Lebanese government."

In response, Hezbollah confirmed on Sunday that it will not wait or count on "failed diplomacy" which has proven ineffective, nor on a "weak" authority, stressing that Israel's continued violations of the ceasefire and aggressions will be met with a response, as it is a right guaranteed by international conventions.
