Trump: The War Will End Very Soon and We Hope the Iranians Will Be Wise

SadaNews - U.S. President Donald Trump stated today, Sunday, in remarks to Fox News that the Iran war will end very soon, and we will be victorious. Some people we are currently dealing with regarding Iran are very rational, while others are not. We hope the Iranians will be wise.

Regarding the attack during the White House Correspondents' Dinner, Trump stated that the location of the attack was difficult to secure, pointing out that the shooter did not approach the banquet hall.

Trump revealed in his remarks that the shooter was mentally ill, according to his data, and that his family was aware of his problems.

The U.S. President noted that the shooting during the night of the dinner shifted from being tense to a moment of unity.

Trump considered that the shooting incident during the White House Correspondents' Dinner highlights the necessity of establishing a secure banquet hall within the White House, asserting that the project represents a security priority.

In a post on Truth Social, Trump stated: "What happened last night is the main reason that our great military, the Secret Service, law enforcement, and every president over the past 150 years for various reasons, have demanded the construction of a large and secure banquet hall on the White House grounds."

He added: "This event would never have occurred with an ultra-secure military banquet hall currently under construction in the White House. We can't wait for it to be built! It's beautiful, meets the highest standards of security, and has no rooms above allowing entry from unsecured individuals, and is located inside the walls of one of the safest buildings in the world, the White House."

Trump continued: "The ridiculous lawsuit against the banquet hall, filed by a woman who was walking her dog and has no legal grounds to file such a suit, must be dropped immediately. Nothing should obstruct its construction; it is within the designated budget and far exceeds the timeline! Thank you for your attention to this matter."

Trump's remarks came following a shooting incident during the event in Washington, where he was hastily removed from the stage after gunfire was heard.

In this context, Acting U.S. Attorney Todd Blanche stated that authorities believe the suspect may have been targeting members of the Trump administration, noting that he traveled from California to Washington before carrying out the attack.

He added that the 31-year-old suspect has been arrested and faces charges, as investigations continue to uncover the circumstances of the incident.

The attack sparked widespread shock, with several world leaders expressing condemnation of political violence, emphasizing the need to protect democratic institutions and press freedom.
