Iraqi to Islamabad Again: "No Plans to Return American Envoys"

SadaNews - Diplomatic movements in the region continue amidst the escalation related to the American-Israeli war on Iran, in a scene where the political path intertwines with military pressures, amid attempts to contain the tension without achieving any actual breakthrough in negotiations.

In this context, two Pakistani officials told the "Associated Press" that indirect communication channels between Washington and Tehran still exist despite the rising tensions, confirming that "there are no plans to resend American envoys" to the talks, indicating a setback in direct American engagement.

The officials added that Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi is heading to Islamabad again after a short visit to Muscat, where he presented Tehran's position on ending the conflict during his meetings with the Pakistani leadership, as part of a broader diplomatic move that includes a planned tour to Moscow and the return of part of the Iranian delegation to Tehran for consultations before resuming meetings.

On the ground, the United States continues to implement maritime blockade measures, announcing that the U.S. Central Command has redirected dozens of ships linked to Iran since the start of operations, alongside intercepting a ship in the Arabian Sea suspected of being linked to what is known as the "shadow fleet."
