Local Elections: 40.62% Voter Turnout by 5 PM
SadaNews - The Central Elections Commission confirmed the ongoing voting process for the 2026 local elections, with the voter turnout reaching 40.62% by 5 PM.
The Commission stated in a press release this Saturday evening that the number of voters reached 418,223 out of a total of 1,029,550 eligible voters, while the voter turnout in Deir al-Balah in the Gaza Strip was 21.2%.
It confirmed that the polling stations in Deir al-Balah will close at 6 PM, while the stations in the West Bank will close at 7 PM, urging citizens who have not yet cast their votes to quickly head to their polling stations and exercise their democratic right.
