Jordan Condemns.. UAE Announces Dismantling of Terrorist Organization Planning to Undermine Security and Stability

SadaNews - The United Arab Emirates announced the dismantling of a terrorist organization and the arrest of its members, following the monitoring of secret activity aimed at undermining national unity and destabilizing the country through planning for sabotage operations within the nation.

The State Security Agency stated in an official statement that investigations revealed links between the organization's members and foreign entities, specifically their connection to what is known as the "Guardianship of the Jurist" in Iran. It pointed out that the organization's members adopted extremist ideologies that threaten internal security and worked on executing recruitment and mobilization operations through secret coordinated meetings.

The statement clarified that monitoring and follow-up operations showed that the accused held meetings both inside and outside the country, and communicated with elements and suspicious organizations, aiming to spread misleading ideas to Emirati youth and recruit them for foreign agendas, in addition to inciting against state policies and attempting to tarnish its image.

Investigations also revealed the involvement of organization members in collecting funds through unofficial channels and transferring them to suspicious foreign entities, as part of supporting the organization's activities, alongside the pursuit of accessing sensitive sites.

The State Security Agency indicated that the charges include establishing and managing a secret organization, planning to commit acts that threaten state security, signing an allegiance to foreign entities, and harming national unity and societal peace.

The agency affirmed its continued efforts to firmly confront any threats to the country's security, calling on citizens and residents to cooperate and report any suspicious activities through official channels to enhance the security and stability framework in the country.

In this context, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemned the terrorist plot that aimed to undermine national unity and stability in the UAE, considering it an unacceptable attempt to destabilize the security and safety of the country.

The ministry reiterated Jordan's rejection and condemnation of this plot, expressing its full solidarity with the sisterly United Arab Emirates, standing with it, and supporting all the steps and measures it takes to protect its sovereignty, security, and stability, as well as to ensure the safety of its citizens and residents, emphasizing the kingdom's rejection of all forms of violence and terrorism that seek to undermine security and stability.
