Netanyahu: The confrontation with Iran is not over yet... and a new development may occur

SadaNews - Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated today, Sunday, that the confrontation with Iran is not over yet, hinting at a new development that could happen at any moment.

In remarks to the media during his meeting with Argentine President Javier Milei in Jerusalem, he said, "We are at war with Iran," adding, "It is not over yet, and a new development may happen at any moment."

These Israeli statements come as U.S. Vice President Jay D. Vance is set to lead his country's delegation to Pakistan on Monday to hold talks with Iran regarding the end of the war, according to a White House official on Sunday.

Trump announced earlier on Sunday that he would send negotiators to Islamabad for discussions with Iran as the ceasefire deadline approaches on Wednesday.

However, the U.S. President accused Tehran of violating the current ceasefire agreement in the Strait of Hormuz, warning that "the United States will destroy every power generation station and every bridge in Iran" unless an agreement is reached to put an end to the war definitively.

For his part, U.S. representative to the United Nations Mike Waltz stated to ABC network that he believes the new round of talks will lead to a "highly significant" outcome.

This comes as Pakistan continues its efforts to push both sides towards a settlement or agreement to end the war that erupted on February 28, before being suspended for two weeks, resuming on April 8.

A high-level Pakistani delegation led by Army Chief Asim Munir visited Tehran a few days ago, and it was reported that Trump discussed with Munir the situation in the Strait of Hormuz and the details of the agreement with the Iranian side during a call on Saturday evening, attended by Vice President Jay D. Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth.
