Death of Hezbollah Official Ali رضا عباس in the Town of Bint Jbeil
SadaNews: An Israeli security source reported to Channel 12 that the Hezbollah leader in Bint Jbeil, Ali رضا عباس, was killed.
Israeli security sources also announced the death of a Hezbollah official in the town of Bint Jbeil in southern Lebanon during an attack carried out a few days ago.
Ali رضا عباس, known as Haj Abu Hussein Barish, is considered one of the most important leaders in Hezbollah and took a key position in the "Radwan Force" of Hezbollah in 2024, according to reports.
The Israeli army had confirmed carrying out attacks in southern Lebanon on Friday, targeting Hezbollah elements that it claimed had "violated the ceasefire agreements," marking the first such operations since the ceasefire took effect at midnight Thursday into Friday.
The army clarified that its forces stationed south of the "blue line" detected elements approaching its positions from the northern side, which it deemed a direct threat, prompting action.
It added that the air force, alongside ground troops, conducted strikes on sites described as "terrorist" in several areas, with the aim of eliminating the threat, noting that artillery bombardments were carried out to support the forces on the ground and destroy Hezbollah's infrastructure.
The army emphasized that its operations are in accordance with directives from political leadership, affirming its authorization to take necessary measures to defend itself and ensure the safety of civilians and its forces.
