Israeli Warning: Failure of Negotiations Means Severe Strikes on Iran

SadaNews - A senior Israeli military official warned of "very severe strikes on Iran that will cause heavy losses" if negotiations fail and the ceasefire collapses.

This week marks the end of a truce in the US-Israeli war on Iran, while the date for another round of negotiations between Washington and Tehran has yet to be determined.

A high-ranking Israeli military official told the newspaper "Maariv" that the Israeli and American armies are "in close coordination".

Recently, US Central Command leader Brad Cooper visited Israel, where he met with Israeli Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir to coordinate regarding the possibility of a sudden collapse of the ceasefire with Iran.

The official told the Israeli newspaper: "We and the Americans are on high alert for this possibility. If it becomes necessary to resume fighting, we know what to do. We are coordinated, and the strike will be very severe and will cause heavy losses to the Iranians."

The official, whose identity was not disclosed by "Maariv", confirmed that there is an "update of the target list", noting that it will include Iranian energy facilities this time.

He argued that "Iran enters the negotiations in a state of severe exhaustion and with much-reduced capabilities, and its economy is weak, and it has begun to realize the extent of the losses it has incurred."

According to the Israeli army, the Israeli and American fighters dropped more than 37,000 munitions on Iran during 40 days of war.
