SadaNews - Three citizens were injured today, Tuesday, following an attack by settlers on the town of Tuqu' southeast of Bethlehem.
Local sources reported that settlers attacked citizens in the "Matal" area east of the town, attempted to steal their sheep, and sprayed them with pepper spray, resulting in the injury of three citizens, who were subsequently taken to the town's clinic for treatment.
It is noteworthy that attacks by the occupation forces and settlers have escalated recently in various areas of Bethlehem Governorate, where they also attacked citizens in Khalayel Al-Luz today and sprayed them with pepper spray a few days ago, and earlier today, they razed land and set up mobile homes on the land of Marah Ma'ala village in the south of the governorate.
In a related context, the occupation forces arrested the former Minister of Awqaf and head of the Islamic charitable association, Sheikh Hatim Al-Bakri, following the storming of the association's headquarters in Hebron city.
It is noted that Al-Bakri is a candidate from the "Fatah" movement for the upcoming municipal elections.
Additionally, other forces arrested three citizens from the town of Balaa east of Tulkarm after a wide raid that lasted about 15 hours.
Those arrested include: Anwar Ahmad Al-Amir Al-Wawi (63 years old), Mansour Hamdan Al-Hajj, and Ahmad Yusuf Zarieqi (34 years old), while the rest of the detainees were released before the forces withdrew from the town.
Meanwhile, a special force kidnapped young man Ahmad Abu Hussein from the town of Yamoun west of Jenin.
