Netanyahu: Goals in Iran Will Be Achieved Through War or Agreement
SadaNews - Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Wednesday evening that the ceasefire with Iran "is not the end of the war but a station on the road to achieving objectives," considering that Israel has achieved "huge accomplishments" and is ready to complete its goals "either through an agreement or by resuming fighting," emphasizing the "full coordination with the United States" and that the announcement of the truce did not come as a surprise to Tel Aviv.
In a recorded video statement, which lacked any press attendance or questions, Netanyahu stated that "the State of Israel has achieved huge accomplishments, accomplishments that until recently seemed completely fictional," adding that "Iran is weaker than ever, and Israel is stronger than ever."
He continued: "We have additional goals that we will complete, and we will achieve them either by agreement or through renewed fighting," stressing that the army is "ready to return to combat at any moment" and that "the finger is on the trigger." He emphasized that "the ceasefire was coordinated with Israel, and the Americans did not surprise us at the last moment."
He considered that "this is not the end of the war, but a stage on the path to achieving all its goals." He added: "We see eye to eye with the United States on this matter."
Regarding the Lebanese front, Netanyahu stated that he "insisted that the ceasefire does not include Hezbollah," emphasizing that Tel Aviv is hitting Hezbollah hard, referring to the escalation of military operations in Lebanon despite the de-escalation with Iran.
While discussing the results of the war, Netanyahu said: "If we had not gone to war with Iran, it would have thousands of missiles to destroy Israel," adding that Tel Aviv has "pushed the existential threat away" and "set Iran back years," and that it has "destroyed missile production facilities," noting that the Iranians "are launching what they have, but they are not producing new missiles."
He also addressed the nuclear file, saying: "The enriched materials will completely exit from Iran, either by agreement or through the resumption of fighting," reiterating that this file enjoys "full consensus" between Israel and the United States; while he mentioned that Israel assassinated more nuclear scientists in Iran during the recent war.
