Occupation continues to close Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Church of the Holy Sepulchre for the 40th consecutive day

SadaNews - The Israeli occupation authorities continue to close the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Church of the Holy Sepulchre for the 40th consecutive day, under the pretext of "state of emergency" and security conditions.

During the closure period, the occupation forces impose strict military measures around the Al-Aqsa Mosque and close the gates of the Old City of Jerusalem, amidst a noticeable escalation.

The occupation authorities exploit this pretext to reinforce their control over the Al-Aqsa Mosque, at a time when there are increasing popular and Jerusalemite calls to rally towards the nearest points and military checkpoints surrounding it, in an attempt to break the imposed siege and enforce its reopening.

The "Temple groups" take advantage of the Hebrew "Passover" holiday, which began on April 2 and continues until the 9th, to incite the storming of the Al-Aqsa Mosque and call for "sacrificing offerings" inside it.

Official and religious entities warn of the dangers of the continued closure of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, considering it a blatant violation of freedom of worship and a dangerous escalation that warrants urgent international intervention to stop these measures.
