Israeli Army: We Bombed a Petrochemical Site in Iranian Shiraz
SadaNews: The Israeli occupation army announced today, Tuesday, that it bombed a petrochemical site in the Iranian city of Shiraz on Monday.
The Israeli army stated, "We attacked an additional petrochemical complex in Shiraz, which is considered one of the few remaining complexes for the production of chemical components for explosives and materials used in ballistic missiles in Iran."
It clarified that this factory was being used by Iranian forces to produce nitric acid, which is a key material for producing explosives and other materials involved in the development of ballistic missiles.
It noted that this complex is one of the few remaining for the production of chemical components for explosives and materials used in ballistic missiles in Iran, following the earlier attack by the Israeli army on the largest petrochemical complex in Iran as well as the petrochemical complex in Mahshahr.
Local authorities in Iran reported yesterday, Monday, that the United States and Israel carried out airstrikes targeting a petrochemical complex near Shiraz in southern Iran.
They explained that the attack on the petrochemical complex near Shiraz is the second one after Israel previously announced bombing a massive complex in the city of Assaluyeh.
