Israeli Official: We Await American Approval to Attack Iranian Energy Facilities

SadaNews - A senior Israeli military official stated on Saturday that Israel is preparing to attack Iranian energy facilities, but is awaiting the green light from the United States.

He added that any such attacks are likely to occur within the next few days.

These statements came after U.S. President Donald Trump issued a 48-hour ultimatum to Iran, which raised questions about whether Washington would support further Israeli military operations against Iran.

Israel is preparing for two more weeks of fighting in Iran, having decided to target infrastructure and economic assets for the remainder of the war in its final stages, while continuing to target Iranian defense industries.

Israeli security sources told Kan TV that the Iranian economy will be the next target in the campaign.

Security officials informed the channel that Israel has prepared a list of targets to strike in the coming weeks, which is expected to indirectly affect the Iranian people.

These targets, according to the sources, include "national infrastructure and bridges, in addition to targets that have not faced many attacks so far, such as energy and oil facilities."

Trump warned Tehran that time is running out before the deadline he set for reaching an agreement to end the war.

The U.S. president reiterated his threats on Saturday to escalate attacks on Iran if it does not reach an agreement or open the vital Strait of Hormuz.

He said on his platform Truth Social: "Do you remember when I gave Iran 10 days to come to an agreement or open the Strait of Hormuz? Time is running out. Only 48 hours before hell comes upon them."
