Report: Mediation Efforts Between America and Iran Have Reached a Dead End
SadaNews - The Wall Street Journal reported on Friday that the current mediation efforts led by countries in the region, including Pakistan, to reach a ceasefire between the United States and Iran have hit a dead end.
The newspaper added that Iran has officially informed the mediators that it is not prepared to meet with American officials in Islamabad in the coming days, considering the American demands unacceptable.
The newspaper quoted mediators as saying that Turkey and Egypt are still pushing to find a way forward, and are exploring new venues for talks, including the Qatari capital Doha or Istanbul, along with new proposals to break the deadlock.
