CENTCOM Commander: We No Longer See Iran's Naval Fleet or Their Aircraft
SadaNews: The Commander of U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM), Brad Cooper, stated on Thursday that the joint forces have made "undeniable progress" five weeks into military operations, indicating a wide neutralization of the enemy's air and naval capabilities.
Cooper explained: "We no longer see their navy sailing or their aircraft flying; their air and missile defense systems have been largely destroyed."
These statements come at a time when U.S. President Donald Trump affirmed that the United States is nearing its strategic goals in the war against Tehran and that it will end soon.
Trump added in a speech lasting about 20 minutes that the war against Iran has led to its military and economic destruction and that it will continue until all objectives are achieved, noting that the next two or three weeks will witness powerful strikes against Iran.
Trump indicated that the Strait of Hormuz will "naturally open" once the war is over, painting an optimistic vision for the future as oil prices continue to rise.
