Report: Iran is Using the Houthis to Target Navigation in the Red Sea
SadaNews: Bloomberg reported that Iran is exerting pressure on the "Houthis" group in Yemen to target navigation in the Red Sea.
Bloomberg quoted European officials, stating that Iran is pressuring the Houthis to target navigation in the Red Sea if the United States escalates its war against Tehran.
According to sources cited by Bloomberg, there are divisions within the Houthi leadership regarding the level of escalation, which explains the group's delay in entering the war that the United States and Israel are waging against Iran.
The Houthi group confirmed on Saturday that it launched a missile towards Israel.
The Houthis stated that "the attack on Israel comes in light of the continued military escalation and targeting of infrastructure in Lebanon, Iran, Iraq, and Palestine."
The group added that its operations "will continue until the declared objectives are achieved."
The Houthi group had indicated that it would enter the war if attacks on Iran continued, warning the United States and Israel against using the Red Sea for their attacks.
