Lebanon: Occupation Army Bombs Southern Suburb and Reports Injury of 6 Soldiers

SadaNews - The Israeli occupation army renewed its bombardment of the southern suburb of Beirut today, Monday, and announced that 6 of its soldiers were injured in southern Lebanon, while Hezbollah targeted gatherings and Israeli settlements.

The Israeli army stated that it began striking what it described as the "infrastructure of Hezbollah" in the Lebanese capital, Beirut.

This announcement coincided with two violent airstrikes carried out by the Israeli army on areas in the southern suburb of Beirut.

The Israeli army renewed its warning to the neighborhoods of Haret Hreik, Ghbiri, Lilaki, Hadath, Burj Barajneh, and Tawayta al-Ghadeer in the suburb, stating that it would target military infrastructure belonging to Hezbollah throughout the southern suburb.

The Lebanese Ministry of Health announced yesterday, Sunday, that the toll of the ongoing Israeli aggression on the country since March 2 has risen to 1,238 dead and 3,543 injured.

Meanwhile, the Israeli army announced that 6 soldiers were injured, including 3 with serious injuries in southern Lebanon. The army stated in a statement that two soldiers were seriously injured yesterday afternoon due to anti-tank fire targeting positions belonging to the Israeli army in southern Lebanon, adding that another soldier was seriously injured in a separate incident, and two other soldiers suffered moderate injuries due to a drone crash near an Israeli army site in southern Lebanon.

According to the army's statement, another soldier was moderately injured as a result of an incident in southern Lebanon, without further details regarding the nature of the incident. It noted that the injured soldiers were evacuated for treatment in the hospital.

The Israeli army does not provide an overall count of injured soldiers since the beginning of the military operation in Lebanon on March 2, but it has announced the deaths of 5 of its soldiers since the operation began. Israel imposes a blackout on the results of Hezbollah's attacks, along with media censorship and warnings against publishing images or information related to casualties or targeted sites.
