Iranian Rocket Barrages on Southern Israel and Extension of Restrictions on the Home Front
SadaNews - Iran launched several rocket barrages towards southern Israel, resulting in rockets and debris landing in several towns including in the Jerusalem area and in Eilat. Meanwhile, a drone launched by the Houthis was intercepted in the skies above Eilat, preceded by two missiles, one ballistic and the other a cruise missile, following their announcement of joining the war alongside Tehran.
A rocket and fragments from the rocket fell in Eilat after a barrage was launched from Iran towards the city and the Arava Valley area. Israeli reports indicated that an interceptor missile had fallen due to a failure to intercept, while 11 people were injured as a result of an Iranian rocket landing near "Beit Shemesh" in the outskirts of Jerusalem.
The Israeli army announced the extension of the restrictions imposed on home front instructions, keeping them unchanged until Monday at 8 PM. Meanwhile, the security and political cabinet (the forum of ministers) is convening tonight to discuss and assess the situation in light of the ongoing war against Iran and Lebanon.
