Zamir in Southern Lebanon: We Have Additional Plans to Continue the Battle and Will Increase the Pace of Attacks in Iran

SadaNews - On Friday, Israeli Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir conducted a field tour and assessment of the situation in Southern Lebanon, along with other army leaders. He stated that there are more plans to continue the battle against Hezbollah, and noted that the pace of attacks will escalate in the coming week.

Zamir said, "This week we targeted bridges and crossings from the northern Litani River, which were used for the passage of 'Radwan Force' elements and for transporting weaponry aimed at targeting Israeli citizens," adding, "We are at a historical crossroads, and we are working according to a plan and an offensive approach to radically change the security reality from Tehran to Beirut."

He mentioned, "We will continue to work and remain here as long as necessary to achieve a major blow and eliminate the threat in the North. We have important additional plans to continue the battle."

He spoke about the war with Iran, saying, "We will increase the pace of attacks in the upcoming week. So far, we have inflicted substantial damage on missile production capabilities and the remaining infrastructure of its nuclear program, and on targets affiliated with the regime."

Israel and the United States have carried out attacks on factories linked to steel and nuclear production in several Iranian provinces, including Isfahan, Khuzestan, and Yazd, in the latest escalation of the ongoing war and attacks against Iranian facilities, and civilian and military nuclear infrastructure since February 28. Israeli security services indicate "important factories that are part of the valuable Iranian military industries, which are partially owned by the Revolutionary Guard."

The Israeli army admitted to attacking a heavy water plant in Arak province in central Iran. In a statement, it said, "Heavy water is a unique material used to operate nuclear reactors like the inactive reactor in Arak, which was originally planned to have the capability to produce plutonium at a military level. These materials are also used as a source for extracting neutrons for nuclear weapons purposes."

It also announced an attack on a factory located in Yazd province in central Iran, which works on extracting uranium from ores, stating in a statement, "This factory is the only one of its kind in Iran where raw materials extracted from underground undergo mechanical and chemical processing, in preparation for later use as raw materials in the uranium enrichment process."
